Grace Ojil happily shows off her plaque

Grace Ojil won two accolades during the 2025 Kho Kho World Cup in the victories over England and Australia.

World Cup bronze medalist Grace Ojil has called upon more youth to join the sport of Kho Kho.

Ojil made the appeal as she received the Fortbet Real Stars monthly award for the month of January 2025 at Lazio Restaurant in Kololo in Kampala.

“Kho Kho is very simple to play. I call upon the youth of all places to join this sport” Ojil who was accompanied by two of his brothers called.

Ojil was part of team Uganda in India at the first ever Kho Kho World where the host country (India) won both the male and female titles.

Real Stars Sports Agency, the organizers of the Fortebet Real Stars Sports Monthly awards singled out Ojiru for her bravery and great display during Uganda’s performances in India.

She edged teammates Erinah Nattabi and Rose Nankumba to the award.

Ojil won two accolades during the World Cup in the victories over England and Australia.

She commended the awards which she cites will motivate her to work harder.

“I want to thank the organizers of these awards. They are helpful in uplifting the standard of sportsmen and women. I promise to work harder” Ojiru vowed.

Meanwhile, the rally crew of Ponsiano Lwakataka & Paul Musaazi won the award for motorsport after clinching the season opener in Mbarara rally.

“It has been great preparations to win the season opener and we are happy for this award” Lwakataka spoke to the media.

The duo beat off Ronald Sebuguzi & Anthony Mugambwa as well as the crew of Nasser Mutebi & Steven Bunya.

Boxing:

In boxing sport, Alfred Ojok with a first round victory over Egyptian opposition Issa Ahmed won.

Ojok who was accompanied by the sister and coach took the award ahead of Majid Kabonge and Latibu Muwonge.

The Fortbet Real Stars monthly awards are organized by Real Stars Sports Agency.

They are bankrolled by Fortebet and Jude Colour Solutions.
