Kenya Premier League (KPL) champions Gor Mahia FC have released their squad for the 2014 Kagame Cup due to be held in Kigali between August 8-24.

The 20 man squad has three goal keepers, seven defenders, six midfielders and five strikers including Ugandans Godfrey Walusimbi, Geoffrey ‘Baba’ Kizito, Daniel Sserunkuma and new signing Arthur Semazzi.

 According the club’s official website, the team which has five officials leaves for Kigali on Wednesday at 9.30pm.

Newly appointed Harambee Stars coach Bobby Williamson is part of the team as the head coach while John Pesa is the leader of delegation.

Gor Mahia is in group B together with Uganda’s representatives KCC FC, APR of Rwanda, and Flambeau of Burundi. 

The KPL winners open their campaign against KCC FC which also released their 20 man squad on Tuesday.

Gor Mahia FC full squad:

Goalkeepers: Jerim Onyango, David Otieno Juma, Joel Bataro.

Defenders: Godfrey Walusimbi, Kevin Oluoch, Musa Mohammed, Haroun Shakava, Kennedy Ayong, David Owino, Charles Bruno.

Midfielders: Daniel Onyango Adhoch, Joseph Kariuki, Geoffrey Kizito, Erick Ochieng’, Collins ‘Gattuso’ Okoth and Simon Lela.

Forwards: Dan Sserunkuma, Patrick Oboya, Arthur Semazzi, Timothy Otieno and George Odhiambo.

Officials: John Pesa (Head of Delegation), Robert Williamson (Head coach), Frank Ouma (Team Manager), Abdul Iddi Salim (Keeper Trainer) and Fred Otieno (Team Doctor).
