  • Entebbe UPPC FC vs NEC FC – Bugonga Fisheries Ground, Entebbe 4:00 p.m.

James Odoch takes charge of his first game as interim at NEC when his side visit Entebbe UPPC on Saturday.

The former midfielder was entrusted with the authority to replace suspended Hussein Mbalangu and has spoken about the game against the newcomers with confidence.

“We are not in a good situation because we haven’t won in two matches. We need to work hard and we have done that in training,” said Odoch.

“The team we are playing is a good team and have a very good coach but we had good preparations and we are ready to win.

“Of course, in the previous game in which we drew with Police, we failed to control the game and this is the emphasis we have made in the training session.”

Asked whether there will be a lot of changes under his management as Mbalangu serves his two-month internal ban, Odoch said not much.

“Not much changes but hopefully we keep the ball better, defend and attack with it.”

Jacob Okao and Innocent Media are ruled out of the game for the Bugolobi-based side but they still have enough squad depth and quality to win away to Bugonga.

Meanwhile, Abdallah Mubiru’s men, winners in the last home game 2-1 versus Lugazi will also to build on the 1-1 draw with 17-time champions SC Villa.

The experienced lads in Mustafa Mujjuzi, Hassan Ssenyonjo, Fazil Tumwine and Julius Poloto if fit.

NEC are in the bottom three with only two points from as many games while the newcomers are on 4 points in the 6th position.
