Nairobi United Football Club confirmed the signing of versatile midfielder Charles Waibi from Uganda’s NEC Football Club.

Waibi had just joined NEC from Kigezi Home Boyz Football Club in the second division.

He became the fourth player to join the free spending Nairobi United from the Ugandan side, joining left backs Mustafa Kizza and Gideon Odongo as well as creative midfielder Titus “Tito” Ssematimba.

Meanwhile, Nairobi United also attained the services of central defender Steve Biko Omollo from Kariobangi Sharks Football Club.

Nairobi United beat KCB 2-0 in the Kenya Premier League on Thursday, 15th January 2026 with goals from Dancan Omala and Ovella.

This club is the under the patronage of Nairobi city county governor Johnson Arthur Sakaja, a leader on the United Democratic Alliance ticket.
