Entebbe Uganda Printing and Publishing Corporation (UPPC) Football Club progressed to the round of 32 in the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
The Printers defeated Ombachi Pride 1-0 at the St Charles Lwanga playground in Koboko to confirm their berth at the next stage of this knock out competition.
Second half substitute Fazil “Chopra” Tumwine scored the lone goal of the goal in a game that was marred by rains.




Other games:
During the other matches played elsewhere, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) made it with a hard fought 1-0 win on the road over Patongo United in Agago District.
Joshua “Letti” Lubwama scored in the 6th minute of the game, a goal that was well defended by the tax collectors.
In Soroti, Kitara made it to the next round with a 1-0 victory over Obule Earth Quake football club.
A 10-man Lugazi overcame Kisugu United 2-1 in Kampala.
In West Nile, Maroons outmuscled Paidha United 2-1 at the Bar Okoro stadium in Zombo district.
Brian Nkuubi Ssemakula and Dickson Niwamanya scored for the visitors.
NEC edged Mabira Town Council 2-0 at the Nyakasanga play ground in Kasese courtesy of Allan Mugalu and Mohammed Kagawa’s second half goals.
Away in Pallisa, Sports Club Villa gritted their teeth to record a 2-1 win over Pallisa Hospital Football Club.
David Owori was on target two minutes after the half hour mark to break the resilience of the home team.
Police dumped out Mayirwe 3-0. Umar Kasumba’s penalty set the ball rolling before a brace from Charles Bbaale sealed the victory.
The Stanbic Bank Uganda Competition has been played since 1971 and remains arguably the oldest knock out football event in Uganda, involving almost all clubs in the country.
