BUL FC’s resurgence under head coach Alex Isabirye faces arguably its biggest test when they host champions Vipers at Fufa Technical Centre, Njeru.

The Jinja based side have won four and lost just once in all competitions since handing the helm to Isabirye on a third stint.

They will head into the Friday clash in buoyant mood after qualifying for the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 32 with a huge win and also want to extend their unbeaten home run against the Venoms to four.

With 19 points, BUL are desperate to get wins in the second round to climb from 8th position that they occupy on the log at the moment.

Meanwhile, Vipers could be more desperate after seeing their six-point gap reduced following a decision in the match they failed to honour against Kitara.

Now leading by one point, on 36 following Kitara’s win away to Maroons on Thursday, Ivan Minnaert and his team understand they can’t afford to get complacent.

The visitors will hope that Karim Watambala, Milton Karisa and Usama Arafat maintain their newfound form since the departure of Allan Okello by getting the desired goals at Njeru.

But their backline manned by Congolese import Kevin Dasylva Baddy will be wary of the attacking threat that Karim Ndugwa and Seiri Arigumaho possess.

Maximum points for the Venoms will see them establish a four-point gap over second placed Kitara.
