FUFA, through its Disciplinary Panel, has come out to issue several sanctions to clubs and individuals for violations of different ethical codes.
Kitara goalkeeper Meddie Kibiringe has been handed a two-match ban and a suspended cash fine for violent conduct in the league game against Vipers played on 10th April at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
According to the Panel’s findings, the shot stopper was involved in serious foul play around the 25th minute when he intentionally kicked Milton Karisa.
“Kibirige Meddie has been handed a two-match ban and a suspended fine of UGX 500,000 for misconduct during the Vipers SC vs Kitara FC SUPL match on April 10, 2026. The CDP found that the goalkeeper’s conduct around the 25th minute of the match constituted serious foul play,” reads the decision.
Referee Ssemeere, who officiated the above game, has also been punished with a three-month suspension from officiating, indicating he saw the aforementioned incident but did not apply the required laws.
In the other decisions made, Lugazi and its Chairman, Abdul Kawulu Mwanje, have been jointly sanctioned with a fine of UGX 1,000,000 for comments made about match officials after the game between Lugazi and Kitara.
FUFA Big League entity, Young Elephants Academy from Nwoya district, has also been sanctioned with an immediate deduction of two points and two goals, plus a fine of UGX 500,000 for acts of hooliganism in their game against Nebbi Central.
