Buhimba United’s chances of suriving relegation continued to dwindle after suffering yet another loss. The Saints were defeated at home on Friday by Express.
In the game played at Royals Park Arena, Express cruised to a 2-0 win thanks to goals from Marvin Nyanzi and Marvin Praise Wambuga.
With Calvary winning on Tuesday, Buhimba dropped to the bottom of the table and needed to win today to give themselves a chance of survival.
However, their struggles off the pitch which have been evident across the season do not allow them to perform any better on the pitch.
For today’s game, the team, playing at home arrived 35 minutes before kickoff.
Also, the match officials came late; assistant referee Lydia Nantabo to be exact reached a few minutes before kickoff while the assigned referee George Olemu did not show up and it was the fourth official Isaac Ochan who took on the role as centre referee.
When the game eventually kicked off, Buhimba put up a fight but their resolve could only last for an hour with Wambuga firing the Red Eagles into the lead before Nyanzi wrapped up the business.
The result means Buhimba stay bottom of the table on 15 points with three games to thw end of the season. Express on the other hand maintained their stay in tenth position on 33 points.
