Ugandan and Mayweather Promotions boxer Sharif “The Lion” Bogere will return to the ring after close to nine months of no action against former African champion Samuel Amoako on Saturday, April 30 from the DC Armory in Washington D.C.
Bogere and Amoako – who represents Ghana while fighting out of Silver Spring, Maryland – will rumble in a 10-round super lightweight contest following the former’s recent switch from Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions to Mayweather’s stable.
27-year-old Bogere, comes off 23 wins in his first professional fights, victories he garnered over Raymundo Beltran, Francisco Contreras, and Manuel Levya.
Victory for Bogere (27-1, 19 KOs) against the former African lightweight champion Amoako will mean his fifth in a row.
