0 – Number of hat-tricks recorded at the tournament
1 – Number of AFCON debutants. Guinea Bissau were playing at the tournament for the very first time in history.
- One was also the least number of goals scored by any country at the tournament. Uganda Cranes and the Mali Eagles each scored one goal apiece at the tourney.
2 – Number of times that Burkina Faso winger Prejuce Nakoulma Niguimbe was named man of the match in the group stages. The gifted play-maker plies his professional trade at Kayserispor in Turkey.
3 – Number of times Cameroon play-maker Christian Basogog was named man of the match during the tournament.
