He may deny to be much interested in the title, but deep down Christakis Fitidis is delighted with his current position in the National Rally Championship chase.
The Mvuama driver is on song to clinch the national rally title.
The 65-year-old had his performance turn around in the previous NRC rounds booking a space among title contenders.
And over the weekend he registered second straight podium finish; third position overall in the Kabalega Rally in Hoima.

Fitidis and co-driver Eric Nzamwita collected 60 points.
They now widen their championship lead to 70 points over second placed Duncan Mubiru/George Semakula with one round to go.
“My main target is to have fun and enjoy myself. I did not care much about the championship, we only drove our race and earned the current position.
“However, we are glad we overcame the challenges of Hoima rally and managed to maintain our lead,” said Fitidis.
The Mvuama rally team will need to finish not lower than fifth in the final round to claim the title.
“Just like in the rest of the events, my target has always been top five finish. So it wont change in the last round and we shall aim at that,” he added.
Fitidis is a former Rwanda national rally champion.
