Uganda Cranes defender Isaac Isinde is among the 16 players who were released by Zambia Premier League club Buildcon Football Club.

Isinde had joined the Zambian top flight on a year long deal that witnessed him earn over Shs150M in 12 months with Shs450,000 in winning bonuses per game.

The former Victors and BUL center forward had been released by Ethiopian giants St George F.C.

Meanwhile, midfielder Boban Zirintusa Bogere is the other Ugandan let go by the Ndola based club who host their games at the Levy Mwanawasa stadium.

Zirintusa had joined Buildcon seven months ago as a free agent after playing out his contract at South African side Polokwane City Football Club.

Whereas the next destination for Isinde remains uncertain, Zirintusa is now at Ethiopian Coffee.

The other players released by Buildcon are; Mustapha Esuma, David Small Boy, Raphael Makubali, Didier Muzembe, Scott Ngokene, Jonas Sakuwaha, Patient Mwepu, Chavda Maisha, Ekanga Narscisse, Belchance Makiense, Omari Kipuki, Gift Sakuwaha, Akakubelwa Mwachiaba and former Zambian international Emmanuel Mayuka.

Uganda Cranes center forward Geoffrey Sserunkuma as well as former KCCA teammate Sulaimon Akinyemi (Nigerian) are both retained at Buildcon.

Joseph Ochaya remains at Lusaka Dynamos as striker Herman Wasswa Nteza returned home to join Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club.

The other Ugandan who was in Zambia but has since returned home is Zesco United’s Davis Kasirye (on loan at SC Villa Jogoo).

Relatedly, the future of winger cum forward Paddy Tebusweke at relegated Mufulira Wanderers Football Club remains unknown.

Former Nairobi City Stars, Gor Mahia, AFC Leopards and Bandari pacy striker Jimmy Bageya deserted Napsa Stars under unclear circumstances.

Buildcon has since signed former Uganda Cranes midfielder Manco Kawesa and Uganda U-20 star player Abubakar Kasule who was also part of the Uganda Cranes 23 man squad at the 2018 CHAN tournament in Morocco.
