Golfer Davis Kashaka, was a double winner at the MTN golf monthly mugs for the month of February and March at the par 72 Kitante golf course on the weekend at Uganda Golf Club.
Kashaka first claimed the Group A prize for the month of February with a score of 70 nett and put the icing on the cake when he returned with similar scores in the month of
March on Sunday to take the gross prize and at the same time dispose a strong field of 200 golfers.
He was not the only golfer attaining similar status at the winner’s podium the in-form Kate Kabenge was winner group A twice that is in February and March with 70 nett on count back and 66 nett respectively on Saturday and Sunday.
Fabian Rwalinda claimed the February gross prize with 72 gross on count back to dispose off Willy Kitata. Former Footballer Sam Mubiru was group B winner with 67 nett for February.
Jovia Otim also maintained her early season form by claiming Ladies B catergory with a score of 69 nett in February.
Group A for the month of March was taken by Geofrey Katoro with 73 nett on count back. Group B was taken by Jo SC with 67 on count back. Group B was claimed by Logmo A with 64 nett.
Semra Sumertas was group B winner in the ladies competition with 70 nett for the same month. In the pro series Herman Mutawe claimed the first quarter with 185 points.
