Bell USL Match Preview: Proline FC vs SC Villa

Mike Mutebi’s side in search for a fourth consecutive league victory.

KICK OFF: 4.30PM – NAKIVUBO STADIUM

DATE: TUE 17TH/04/2012.

Mike Mutebi’s side will be looking for their fourth league win on the trot when they pay a courtesy visit to Mubiru Abdallah’s Proline at Nakivubo stadium tomorrow. The two teams settled for a goalless draw in the reverse fixture at Wankulukuku.

However back then, it was Mujib Kasule and Zivojnov Srdan handling Proline and SC.Villa respectively. The biggest highlight of the tie was that Patrick Ssenfuka goal that was nullified for offside. Both managers

are known for preferring a passing game. Interestingly, Mike Mutebi will be tussling it out against his former student as Mubiru was part of that KCC side that he coached in the mid 90s.

PROLINE TEAM NEWS: For Villa custodian Mugabi Yasin will be facing his former employers as well as Abubaker Tabula. Mugabi is expected to maintain his place in goal. The defense line will be commanded by Mukisa Yusuf helped by Ausi Kaaya and Namwanja Simon on the right and left wing backs respectively. Apollo Razak, Abubakar Tabula and Gift Ali will fantasize in that midfield with Wulube Lopidia playing the defensive role while William Wadri Kadogo, Bosco Ssemugenyi and Rwanda U-20 international Tibingana Charles hunting for goals.

MAN TO WATCH: William Wadri Kadogo is the man the villa rear guard must watch keenly. He is currently enjoying the form of his life scoring important goals for his side. He is a threat to the Jogoos.

SC.VILLA TEAM NEWS:

Mike Mutebi will be with out long term absentees Patrick Ssenfuka, Kabanda Robert and Kakaire Apollo who were ruled out for the rest of the season plus Nkugwa Eurukana who is (AWOL). Llllluyima Sulait is expected to sit in goal for the injured Benjamin Ochan after impressing in the 2-0 win over Police last week. Denis Okoth, Kisallita Ayub, Kasadha Lawrence and Muleme Isaac may continue at the back while Misi Katende and Kirabira Isaac may be used as the two holding midfielders to provide defence with enough cover as well block Proline’s attacks. Ndaula Moses who started on the bench against Police may replace either of Herman Wasswa or Ssemakula Noah whose two previous match performances have been poor. Bengo Steven and Muganga Ronald are poised to maintain their starting places.

MAN TO WATCH: SC.Villa have had their fortunes turn around this season after the return of Bengo Steven and will again be on hand to torment the Proline defence as well as midfield. He is the main man at Villa Park and the first name on the team sheet amongst all forwards. He is deadly with his driblling, pace and power and has the ability to punish opponents from dead balls. Proline must avoid fouling a lot near the 18 yard box.

PREDICTION:

Proline FC’s fortunes turned around the moment Mubiru took over in a fashion almost similar to Villa’s under Mike Mutebi. The two have only suffered league losses at the hands of Bunamwaya SC since they took over the helms at their respective clubs and come face to face in such of a win but I see a score draw. PROLINE FC 1-1 SC.VILLA. what is your prediction?
