Reticent Wanderers aim to silence audacious Gayaza

Only Wanderers did not play last weekend and will seek to get on with a win when they play their first 50-over National Women’s League tie against Gayaza High at Lugogo oval tomorrow. National team skipper and Wanderers’ captain, Mary Nanderega believes her side can challenge any side to the crown. After recruiting slow bowler and right hand batsman, Stella Atim from ACC, Nanderega insists league success will come their way.

“Actually some other players will be surprises” said the skipper. Wanderers possess another hidden weapon in Carol Namugenyi who can tear down the opponents’ batting order. But despite this, Gayaza team has used social network, Facebook to sned out warning messages in the road to the tourney. They aim to minimise on their mistakes that cost them a 91-run loss to Charity last weekend.
