Tornado cricket club won their third straight game in the Multiple Industries’ Cricket league duel at lake side oval in Entebbe after defeating defending champions, Patidar Samaj by five runs. Patidar won the toss, opting to bat bowl and restricted them to 122 for a ten wicket loss. Raymond Otim’s 20-odd, Richard Okia’s 19 and Asadu Seiga’s 17 were vital in the push to the number that Tornado later managed to defend.
Tornado’s Frank Nsubuga and Zubair Tembo snared three wickets apiece as Patidar collapsed at 117 in their chase to the target. Patidar’s Roger Mukasa won the man of the match honour after notching a high-32 and picking four wickets in the first innings. The loss meant Patidar dropped to third on 13 points as Tornado, the National T20 Champions moved to second on 15 points. Wanderers is still at the top with 17 points from four games.
