Hoima-Busia FC 0-1 KCC FC
Hoima-Busia’s chances of surviving relegation have yet again suffered another blow this evening after falling to visiting KCC FC 1-0 in a league match played at Bugembe stadium. U-23 international Ocaya Joseph who was returning to the side after missing the 2-0 loss to SC.Villa last week struck the solitary goal of the game in the 5th minute. Peter Oguttu’s side still languish in the relegation zone just a place above bottom side Utoda FC. The Bugembe based side has only 18 points collected from 22 games and only remain with eight league fixtures to save their life.
The win was a good reaction from the yellow lads after failing to register at least a win in the previous two league fixtures drawing 1-1 with URA FC before losing 2-0 to Villa. The win lifts Morley Byekwaso’s side to 5th on the 16 team log on same points with 6th placed Water FC but the Lugogo side has a superior goal difference. KCC FC’s next fixture is on Friday this week when they host rivals Express FC in a live game at Namboole while Hoima-Busia will play champions URA FC at Lugazi.
In related development, the Victors FC Vs Express FC was not played today as FUFA failed to send match officials to Kakindu. The game will be played at a later date yet to be communicated by the USL. This coupled with Proline’s win over URA FC today means the Red eagles move to third on 44 points while Proline FC go second on 45 points
