BEll USL Player Ratings: Proline FC vs URA FC

URA FC’s title hopes were dented last evening after losing to Proline FC 1-0 in a league match played at Nakivubo. Anthony Bongole struck the only goal of the game. Kawowo sports was present and rates player’s performance.

PROLINE FC

MUGABI YASIN (GK) 7.5: The custodian showed why he was nominated in the Goal keeper of the year category. He kept the URA FC forwards at bay by making brilliant saves.

AUSI KAYA 6.5: The veteran right back had a torrid first half against Nsumba Augustine but came back improved in the second half.

NAMWANJA SIMON 8.5: Man of the match performance from the young left back. Defended well against Feni and the marauding Masaba. Brilliant day at office.

MUKISA YUSUF 7.0: Read the game well and defended excellently against Kitagenda and Ssentongo.

MAKOBA DENIS 6.0: The centre half had a terrible time defending Robert Ssentongo but came out on top after keeping a clean sheet.

LUYIMA RICHARD 6.5: Provided protection to the back four. Worked tirelessly all game blocking opponents’ moves.

APOLLO RAZAK EWATU 7.0: Composed and tidy in possesion. Initiated attacks with his long range passes.

GIFT ALI 8.0 The Shirt. 7 repaid his Coach’s faith who gave him a rare start. Bossed the midfield with power and intelligent runs off the ball. Had a hand in Bongole’s goal. Replaced with Kidega Andrew with four minutes on the clock after suffering a harmstring injury.

WADRI WILLIAM 7.0 Kept the URA FC rear guard on tenterhooks and made the assist for Bongole’s goal with a well laid ball for the striker. Subbed for Paddy Muhumuzza. ANTHONY BONGOLE 7.5: His positioning, control and shot for a goal was world class. Had won a penalty in the first half which Tabula missed. Continues to silence critics. ABUBAKER TABULA 5.5 Wasn’t at his usual best. Misplaced lots of passes and missed an open chance to score from the spot.

SUBSITITUTES:

KIDEGA ANDREW 6.0: Came on for the injured Gift Ali and added pace to the hosts forward line.

MUHUMUZA PADDY 6.0: Came on for Wadri William in a tactical change and added numbers in midfield. Fought for every ball.

URA FC.

OWINY ALLAN 6.0 Had no chance with the goal but spent most of the time ball watching as Proline’s dominance didn’t necessary lead to shots on goal.

MASABA SIMEONE 6.0 Had a tough evening against Wadri William and Namwanja Simon especially in the first half. Almost regained his A game in the second half and came close to scoring an equaliser but his weak shot didn’t trouble Mugabi.

SSEGAWA LAWRENCE 3.5 Was ineffective for the entire game. Fouled Bongole in the area for a penalty that Tabula missed and lost Wadri for that assist to Bongole. SSENKOMI SAM 6.0. Poorly marked Anthony Bongole in the buildup to the goal. Looked fatigued perhaps due to Pece finals played on Saturday.

MUSA DOKA 6.5 His timing and game reading were fantastic but allowed Bongole too much space in the area. He should have done better.

SAID KYEYUNE 6.0 Played in defensive midfield role as Manko Kawesa, Osman Farouk and Agaba Oscar were all missing. Looked a shadow of himself.

AUGUSTINE NSUMBA 7.0 Was the shinning light in the URA FC side. Created havoc for Kaya Ausi for the entire game. Unlucky to be on a losing side.

FENI ALI MOSES 5.5 Dissapointing performance from the no.10. Lost possesion and lacked his usual excellent first touch.

HAMIS KITAGENDA 4.0. Ran like a headless chicken. Fluffed chance after chance.

SULA BAGAALA 4.0 Wasteful in possession and had a difficult evening against Namwanja Simon. Replaced with Ociti Benson.

SSENTONGO ROBERT 7.0 Unlucky to miss on a score sheet. Kept the entire Proline rear guard on tenterhooks. Didn’t deserve to lose the game after all his input. SUBSTITUTE.

OCITI BENSON 5.0. Looked unfit when he came on for Bagala and had less impact on the game. Tried to use height to trouble Proline defence line but they stood resilient.
