Utilisation of players from neighbouring East Afican countries to feature for different sides has played a part in the run to this year’s National Women’s Cricket League crown. But Tornado seem not to be taken by the wave. The side only plans to stick to grooming the young talent and making use of the senior home based playing staff. “We want to build the youngsters and give them a chance” said Tornado senior player, Franklyn Najjumba. “We can win the league title without using imported cricketers” she added. Tornado fire power lies in Najjumba, Gloria Adubu, captain Consy Aweko and Christine Aryemo.
