National Women’s Cricket League Final
Charity vs. Wanderers
An unhurt Wanderers’ side takes titleholders, Charity in the final of the National Women’s Cricket League at Lugogo cricket oval tomorrow.
Wanting to end the latter’s dream of retaining the title is what will perfectly give this season the pinnacle.
Wanderers dispatched Gayaza High in the semifinal last Saturday by 1283 runs, a game where they looked so comfortable. Charity overcame Tornado by two wickets in the other wing to the final a fortnight ago.
Charity lost bowler Lydia Bakumpe to Wanderers and she turns all guns to her former teammates in the decider.
Wanderers, who look to be the favourites won the preliminaries on 23 points, a feat that saw them dispatch Charity by a slim three runs in one of the duels.
It is outrightly the season’s most anticipated tie and will look to gather crowds at Lugogo.
From Kawowo Sports desk, may the best take the day.
