Serb Zoran Djordjevic (60) was appointed first team coach in the history of the newly formed South Sudan state of Sudan.

Djordjevic has this year led the U23 selection of the Philippines, and the first major task will be to prepare his team for the match against a team from Uganda on July 10.

“Bright Star” team nickname as the Southern Sudan, is the newest member of the FIFA family, and shall be eligible to play in the qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations 2015, World Championships and

the 2018th year.

“This is a great chance for local players to reach the European clubs. Will have a chance to get transfers like James Moga joined the league and I became one of the top three shooters in India,” he told Goal.com Djordjevic’s agent and his son Mirko Djordjevic.

Zoran Djordjevic was the coach of the Workers of Pirot and Crystal from Zajecar and early 80’s he worked in several African and Asian countries where he led the 20-odd teams.

He was coach of Yemen,sudan and Bangladesh.
