As the XXX Olympiad make a week since the official glamorous ceremony, Benjamin Kiplagat will be the first on track in the first heat of the 3000m steeplechase.

Having bagged his first senior medal at the Africa Senior Championships in Porto Novo a month ago, Kiplagat is confident he will show woth in London.

The national record holder will have Kenyan Abel Kiprop Mutai as his biggest threat in today’s water jump race.

With a personal best time of 8:03.81, Kiplagat can hope for a place in Sunday night’s final.
