Admira Wacker Mödling vs. Red Bull Salzburg – Trenkwalder Arena (live on Sky)
Referee: Alexander Harkam
In a bid to recover from their 2-0 loss to SK Rapid Vienna last weekend, their first defeat in 17 league ties, reigning Australian Bundesliga champions Ibrahim Sekagya’s Red Bull Salzburg will make a trip to Trenkwalder Arena tomorrow in order to seek their lost form against Admira Wacker Mödling.
Salzburg coach Roger Schmidt has not had the team’s international players available for training for the whole week. Jakob Jantscher, Florian Klein and Christoph Leitgeb were with the Austria squad from August 13-15 for the international friendly against Turkey.
Mödling denied Salzburg five out of the six points they could have collected in meetings at their ground last season though, winning 2-1 and then holding the Bulls 2-2.
The Red Bulls have won the most defensive challenges on the floor (61.2 %) but Admira Wacker boast the best rate of winning attacking challenges (48 %).
In third position on nine from the possible 12 points, the Bulls have won their last five away matches in the league and are unbeaten in 12 away trips. Salzburg’s last away defeat came on November 20 last year, a 2-4 loss to Rapid Vienna.
