A record 102 boys and girls between the age of six and 14 passed out today after completing a two week holiday junior golf clinic at Uganda Golf Club.
The three week clinic that was being organised by Uganda Ladies Golf Union with a tournament for the first time so the junior golfers play a foursome event together with their parents according to the number of holes they wanted to cover.
“This is the first clinic of this kind that we are holding under the Uganda Ladies Golf Union where we have had parents play along side their children and this is just the beginning,” Jasper Kamukama, the ladies union president told the press. “We shall have a similar clinic like this one in the next holiday as we follow up the progress of these junior golfers.”
This year’s edition was sponsored by United Assurance,Kiboko,Crown Beverages,Royal and Ancient,Tukutana and various sponsors and well wishers of the game of golf.
