Entebbe Golf Club will be battle ground this Friday when the Castle Lite Inter Region golf tournament tees off at the 18 hole golf course outside Kampala.
The “Wise Men” from the East that are coached by top professional golfer Deo Akope will be eyeing back to back titles at this all prestigious team event.
Buganda and West will be the biggest hurdle to the East in claiming their second title in history.
“We have assembled a good side and I believe we shall not repeat the same mistakes like last year,” Robert Mukasa,the manager of the Buganda team told Kawowo Sports in Entebbe. “The effort that we have put in we believe will bear fruits,but the team from the West is a strong contentor.” George Olayo, the Buganda team coach will be spoilt for choice to select a formiable side that has players like Willy Kitata,Henry Lujja,Peter Senduala,Abbey Bagalana others are Emmanuel Wamala,Morris Ntege,Robinson Lutwama, Kato Ssebale,Flavia Namakula,Irene Nakalembe,Kathy Kabenge,Monica Ntege.
The West has a strong side that includes Adolf Muhumuza,Ronald Rugumayo,Lawrence Muhenda,Joseph Cwinyai,Richard Baguma,John Basabose,Davis Kashaka others are Jasper Kamukama,Annette Kiconco,Ann Abeja Muhwezi,Evelyne Asiimwe,Gloria Mbaguta,Sheila Kesiime.
The mode of play will be Medal it will also have a subsidiary its the first time that Entebbe Golf Club will be hosting this prestigious golf tournament.
