Cranes captain Andrew Mwesigwa assured the Zambian media that Uganda has come to win and nothing else. Mwesigwa told the media on arrival at Ndola Airport that Zambians have the bragging rights as African champions but that does not scare him and his teammates.
“We have come to win, get a good result and wait for the return leg in Uganda, we Ugandans respect them but don’t fear them,” said Mwesigwa. Zambia has been a good unbeaten run at home, but Mwesigwa says the chipolopolo are not destined to win all their matches.
Being champions does not mean you have to win all the time. A time comes when that comes to an end, tomorrow (Saturday) might be that day! Who knows,” he said.
On what makes Uganda tick, Mwesigwa did not have much to say. “What makes us tick is that we work as a team.”
