T20 MEHTA PREMIER LEAGUE
SEMI-FINALS
Wanderers vs. Charity TF – Kyambogo
Tornado vs. JACC – Lugogo
There will be no level pegging for any side as the National Women’s T20 Mehta Premier League reaches the pinnacle on Saturday at Lugogo Oval. None of the sides in remaining in contention is ready to walk away less the main trophy.
And the statements will be clearly laid out starting with two semi-finals and a final in the afternoon. T20 titleholders Charity have a big hurdle in Wanderers to leap over if they are to reach the last end of the race.
The clash, a much anticipated one, will be at the University Oval in Kyambogo. And each of the captains is already putting final touches to their squads ahead of last year’s repeat of the final.
It will be worth a task for Wanderers to eliminate Charity. The latter won last year’s double and this year’s 50-final at the expense of the former.
In the second semi-final, Tornado hold an upper hand over JACC but it will get down to playing their best cricket if they are to ensure they end the year with some silverware.
JACC is good at home in Jinja but often give nothing much in competition while away. But still, none should write off this youthful side.
