Emmanuel Enabu managed a game high of 24 but not even that could stop UCU Canons from denying them advancement to the semi finals of the National basketball playoff in Lugogo on Sunday. Sudi Ulang, managed 17 points one assist inspired UCU and 4 defensive rebound as the Mukono side took off with the first quarter 23-14.

It was the big centre Desmond Owili who 15 points and 10 rebound made sure UCU had presences in the paint especially his own as 9 of those rebounds were defensive. Power were to show why they are defending champions when they took the second quarter 22-13 and the third 18-13.

Brian Maneke and Martin Okwako were also in double figures for UCU with 14 and 12 points respectively. Ben Komaketch was the only other power player who managed double figures as he put on 12 points with Joseph Ikong and Isaac Afidra managing 9 and 8 each.

UCU will take on 2008 champions Warriors in the playoffs while KIU Rangers and record champions Falcons will battle in the semi final as the road to the finals starts to take shape
