Former Bunamwaya SC playmaker Ibrahim Saddam Juma leads the players released by SC Victoria University just seven months after joining the club. The former U-23 international has only made five appearances for the club in the first round of the FUFA Super League (FSL) with his career at the University club being hampered by a series of injuries.

Also released is former skipper Tonny Waiswa who has made just two appearances for the club since promotion to the super league. Waiswa is most remembered for captaining the club from big league to the super league. Other players who have faced the sword include striker Patrick Owori, defender Lawrence Bakiranze, winger Geoffrey Nakibinge. The rest include Zakariah Nsubuga and Umar Maboogi.

Meanwhile, the University Club has acquired the services of Proline FC trio of Anthony Bongole, Patrick Edema and Apollo Ewattu Razak. According to the club official website, Bongole has been signed on a one year deal though the fee for the transfer has not been disclosed. The former KCC FC striker has struck six goals in the first round of FSL. However Patrick Edema and Razak will spend just six months at the club on loan. The trio will link up with the squad on Thursday for their maiden training ahead of the second round of the FSL. SC Victoria University finished the FSL first round in third position on 28 points while Proline FC finished 10th with 19 Points.
