Ambitious souls yield brave personalities with foresighted goals to accomplish, goes the old school adage. When Kamwavi Charles a.k.a kessy, a former manager with one of Uganda’s elite volleyball clubs, Sport-S thought of running an independent volleyball Club, many initially wrote him off.

Like many successful proprietors, Kessy, has had the will power and the belief to make things happen against all odds. He is the chief brain and patron of a virgin Volleyball club called Sky, based in Seguku, Entebbe Road.

Sky Volleyball club is set to play in the lower divisions  a prerequisite before making it to the destined national league. The club, which has recruited the finest players from the country’s elite clubs, has an ambition on becoming the most celebrated local club.

 “We have signed the league’s best players not only to win games, but to polish their talents, groom them for professional stints and finally market them to foreign clubs”,  Kessy reveals to Kawowo Sports.

Sky Volleyball Club has poached on four Sport-S players in Emma Kato, Paul Muwanika, Sam Kimuli, and Phillip Wandera. The Seguku based club also got the services powerful attackers, Jensen Chestit and Ahimbizibwe “Bimu” Jonathan, setter Opendi John Bosco from 2011 league winners, Nkumba University. Also in their ranks are former Kampala City Council players, Abraham Desuk, Nicolas Beyongera and Tito Douglas Kiggundu.

 The upcoming Makerere open tournament that is set to kick off on 1st March is the first test for the star sturded side.
