YMCA Gladiators Vs KIU Rangers 6:30pm Nkumba Marines Vs City Oilers 8:30pm
“A win against a big team stamps our place and quest” Jimmy Enabu said after City Oilers 75-65 win over Falcons last Friday.
The guard along with the high-octane Oilers will be back on the floor this evening with reams of confidence to face struggling Nkumba Marines whose only season win came in the opening fixture against relegation bound Vegetarians.
Oilers (2-1) have scored at least 65 points in every game while their opponents, Marines (1-2) have at most put up 64 points. Big men Ramadhan Arou, Kami Kabange and Andrew Okello are imperious at the defensive end for Oilers. Brian Sivachi who is averaging 20.6 points for Nkumba has to be at his best to better any of the three at the post. The center gets little help from teammates and this nearly guarantees a big loss.
Gladiators will meanwhile face KIU Rangers in the women’s top division. Both teams are struggling offensively and have each won a single game this season. Gladiators (1-2) blew out school side, Nabisunsa while Rangers held off A1 Challenge on the weekend. Rangers won both fixtures against Gladiators last season including a walk-over.
