KCCA Leopads Vs Magic Stormers 6:30pm (Leopards lead series 2-0)
Riham Warriors Vs Falcons 8:30pm (Series tied 1-1)

Even after the first two games of the best of five playoffs semi-final series between Riham Warriors and Falcons, it is still as difficult predicting who will win the next game or the series as it was at the start of the stretch.

At this point you just have to agree with the Falcons’ coach, Gad Eteu. “Basketball is not controlled on the remote. It’s a series of endurance and whoever is fit takes it (game). Small things determine the outcome” he says.

With series tied at one-all, game 3 action is on tonight at the YMCA court that will see the return of Serge Kabangu to the Falcons team after a four game ban. “He will make us a lot better on defense and on rotation.” Eteu said on Serge’s return.

Ronnie Owino meanwhile doesn’t believe that will affect his set up in a negative way. “They won game 2 without him (Serge). Don’t you think that will affect them in trying to accommodate him as well? We can’t lose sleep because of his return” the Warriors’ coach argues.

While the two games have been won by small margins (a point & 4 respectively) one thing you can’t run away from is that they have been about outscoring opponents rather than barring opponents from scoring. A little bit of better defense in this particular game will give either team the edge not only in the game but in the series as a win will put it one away from the finals.

In the women’s division KCCA Leopards will most likely wrap up their series against Magic Stormers with a win and make the finals for a third successive year. KCCA lead the five games spread 2-0 and Stormers have not been competitive enough to get anything out of the series. Stormers are now 0-5 against KCCA including the regular season.
