A stunning display from Juliet Nandawula spurred Entebbe Sharks to winning the Under 19 Girls’ Emerging Rugby Championships held at the Jinja Dam Waters Stadium on Saturday.
Nandawula scored a lions’ share of the tries registered for the Sharks, a performance that saw her rewarded with the player of the tournament accolade.The Entebbe based team won all her fixtures on card registering an overwhelming 120 points in 4 games.
Police Tear Gas Rangers suffered the heaviest defeat in the jaws of a ruthless Entebbe based side as they were condemned to a 0 – 63 humiliation.
This one day girls rugby tournament at Jinja registered two rare draws as home side, Dam Waters Crocodiles played to a 15 all draw with Entebbe Whales before the latter claimed the draw masters status after a low scoring 5 all with Kampala side, Kyadondo Eagles.

Entebbe Sharks was formed in 2012 and so far lead the UWRA junior 7s standings.The team has been boosted by tag rugby graduates from the Entebbe based primary schools of St Tereza, Namate, Bugonga Boys, St Agnes, Lake View and the neighbouring areas.
