To love and to be loved in equal measure are the two most important ingredients of a delighted soul.
For many a basketball faithful, their unconditional thirst, love and hope for basketball in the country will be answered at the YMCA Courts this Friday evening as the 4th season of the Friday Night Lights (FNL) will be officially switched on.
How appropriate to expect an affirmative response on the day globally ‘reserved’ to celebrate love – Valentine’s day. After a week’s delay of the event that is marking its 4th year, then the dunks, fancy dummies, dribbles and free shots’ event will definitely keep fans on their toes throughout the night.
All this has been made possible courtesy of Kinetic Management, Castle Lite, YMCA and other stake holders. For the next 8 weeks, the YMCA basketball courts will be filled to capacity.
New twists, challenges and faces have been added to the rooster of teams that will be battling for the top prize over the next eight weeks.
This year will see new team’s like Team Duxx, that will be spearheaded by Falcon’s Stephen Mwesigye and another new entrant led Team Sudi, led by three-pointer King Sudi Ulanga from Tanzania.
The team to watch will be Season III winners Team Malinga that will be led by Henry Malinga other teams to watch out for will be Team KB08, Team Enabu and Team Blick, Season I and II winners Team Ikong other teams vying for the top prize include Team Amoding, Team Kasewu and Team Legends.
For the fans who will enjoy the games and fun-fare they will not be left out as organizers have new exciting challenges for them that include the Castle Lite Mystery Box Challenge, the KCB Bank Shoot for Cash Challenge and the Rwenzori Bottling Company Limited Treasure Hunt Challenge.
