The men’s national volleyball league will have 12 teams come the 2015 season, the Sports Organizing Committee (SOC) and the clubs managers have agreed.

The development means that this season the bottom two teams will play a playoff to decide who stays up and who goes down.

The top two teams in Serie B will qualify automatically while those that will finish third and fourth will play a playoff to decide who joins the top two teams and the one that would have stayed in Serie A.

The winner of series C will automatically be promoted to series B while number two and three will play each other in a playoff for the second slot.

it was also believed that since the number of women’s teams is on the rise, a second tier would be introduced but only 13 of those teams confirmed participation in the women’s league.

And one tier will be maintained with Nkumba University’s facility of six courts being used by ladies once in each round.
