The MTN Arena in Lugogo, Kampala, will be the battling place when the Ugandan national boxing team “Bombers” face their Kenyan counterparts on the weekend of 31st May and 1st June 2014.

26 boxers began training early this week at Lugogo ahead of the friendly match that will also see Kenya host Uganda a month later.

“We are having 26 players here in preparation for the friendly match with neighbors Kenya” Fred Kavuma the federation’s spokes person told Kawowo Sports over the weekend.

“We want to put them in good shape before and after that friendly, as we prepare for forthcoming competitions”. Kavuma added.

The bombers’ team that missed participating in this month’s African Youth Championship in Botswana due to late registration is being drilled by national head coach Dick Katende.
