As midfielder cum striker Owen Kasule turned up for Kampala City Council (KCC)’s maiden 2014/15 season training, it was evident, reading from his body language, he had come to fulfill a mission at hand.
“Surely, i have always loved to play for the most successful team in the country at the moment. I believe, putting up my best display week in, week out will be a lee way to the national team once again”, Kasule told Kawowo Sports on Monday.
He was among the 5 new players the back to back league champions introduced to the media in the team’s maiden training session of the virgin season.
The others who trained on the day are Yasin Mugume (KJT), Martin Elungati (SC Villa), Francis Ssembatya (Lweza), Paul Muchwerezi (Mutundwe Lions).
Kasule penned a three year deal with KCC (fee undisclosed) from 2014 Uganda Cup champions, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA).
Owen began his career with KCC and made his Uganda Super League debut during the 2006-2007 season.
He then signed for Bunamwaya (then Vipers f.c) before making a brief semi professional stint with Vietnam side,Honang Anh Gia Lai .
Kasule then made U-turn to the Uganda league with URA for the 2013/14 season.
“I will put up my best display in training sessions. I really need to serve my nation”, Kasule remarked.
