Mauritanian Football Federation (FFRIM) has sacked national team coach Patrice Neveu.
The development follows the heart breaking 0 - 1 loss to Uganda on Sunday in the AFCON 2015 pre group qualifiers to Uganda.
"This is the end of a fruitful collaboration between the Mauritanian Football Federation (FFRIM) and the French coach Patrice Neveu. The coach of the national team has been dismissed", am official statement from the federation reads.
Neveu, who assumed office two and a half years ago joins the ever swelling list of African tacticians to vacate their positions after the pre -group qualification phase.

The French born coach, who helped Mauritania qualify for the CHAN 2014 championships in South Africa appreciated the Mauritanian football federation, players and fans.
To believe and advance this was my daily adage. Do not unanimous I had not come to this exercise in Mauritania; even in the hardest times my only goal was to give the country a good football label. Arrived in 2012 my beginnings were very difficult but I thought the potential of the country Thank you to the people of Mauritania to the fans for their support over the past 30 months in the country. I will keep in mind the great emotional moments in the exercise of my profession, trade with the Mauritanian people with whom I shared my daily .
