It’s a sad weekend for Kenyan Cricket following the news that women national team captain Emily Chepng’etich Ruto.
Ruto; daughter to Bomet County Governor Isaac Ruto lost her battle with illness on Friday and the family released a statement immediately.
We thank God for the privilege of Emmy’s life and her wonderful deeds for us and country, during her short pilgrimage in this world. We also thank all the friends, relatives and doctors who stood with us during the Emmy’s short ailment.
Nicknamed “ChepCricket”, the 25 year old who has been captain since 2008 died at the Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi.
