Ugandans registered mixed fortunes at the Kenya Open International Squash tournament at the Parklands Sports Club in Nairobi, Kenya as the one week event reached the semi-finals today. 

Ian Rukunya Kajubu, fell in the first game against Kenya’s Abubaker Chudry going down 3-1, 11-3, 11-8, oo6-11, 11-9 in the quarter-finals the other player to fall was Paul Kadoma losing Pakistan’s Waqas Mehboob, 11-9, 11-7, 11-2.

Kawooya, will now meet Mehboob at 7pm today as he seeks to storm the finals in this annual event that is held at Parklands Sports Club at Westlands Village in Nairobi.

Other Ugandan players that fell earlier in the qualifiers include Brian Okumu. The tournament has attracted players from Pakistan, Kenya(hosts), Uganda.
