Toyota Buffaloes awakened their winning spirit with a much needed 10-03 victory against Ezee Money Rhinos at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds on Saturday.

The truimph meant Buffaloes’ second win of the season, after having ambushed Impis at Makerere Rugby Grounds to defeat them 15-46.

Pius Ogena broke the deadlock with the first try of the match, followed by Solomon Okia’s. Both were however not converted as the home side dominated the events till half time.

Rhinos Kevin Makmot who kicked in two penalties to edge Heathens 06-05 the previous weekend, scored the visitor’s only penalty to hand them only three match day points as Fred Odur of Buffaloes got crowned as man of the match courtesy of an impressive performance.

Elsewhere, Impis unfortunately lost at their beloved home in Makerere at the hands of fast improving Sadolin Mongers.

It was Monger’s first victory away from home, following their 14-13 loss to Ezee Money Rhinos at Legends Rugby Grounds.

Sekyanzi Bruno, new season’s recruit Simon Wakabi and Shaun Baseka made headlines as the trio emerged some of the evening’s try scorers.

Baseka’s performance that guided Entebbe based side, Mongers to forth win was awarded man of the match, Impis putting up more 11 match day points at home.

Pirates were also 24-10 winners against Mutoni Warriors who were condemned to fourth season loss out of six played so far while the Kobs-Heathens fixture got postponed to 20th December.

FACTS

Impis have scored 39 match day points at home and only 3 away.

Sadolin Mongers have emerged match day winners four times, lost Ezee Money Rhinos and drew with Heathens 10-10.

Mutoni Warriors still boast of twins wins in the six premiership matches.
