Tanzanian Premier League club, Simba Sports Club has come out to categorically state they under took the right procedure to acquire the signature of midfielder cum striker, Simon Sserunkuma.

“The signing of Sserunkuma (Simon) complied with all the transfer rules and regulations”
Simba’s registration committee chairman, Zacharia Hanspoppe is quoted by Tanzania daily news web portal.

Hardly had 2 days elapsed after the player penned a year deal with Simba, than Express F.C chairman, Francis Ntalazzi come out to distance himself and the club in the transfer that he termed ‘shoddy’.

The chairman denies having personally signed on the player’s contract.
‘My Signature was forged and I plan to open up a police case for forgery’ Ntalazzi threatened.

It has since emerged that there was a communication lapse between Ntalazzi and Mohammed Kateregga, the official who brokered the deal.

Relatedly, Simba S.C has won the case they had lodged to the world’s football governing body, FIFA over a breach of contract for non payment of the sign on fee for the nomadic Ugandan striker, Emmanuel.

According to Hanspoppe, FIFA has communicated to Tunisian club, Etoile Du Sahel to clear Simba a sum of $ 300,000 (about U.shs 810M).

Okwi has since played for rivals, Yanga before crossing over to Simba this year.
