Simba 0-0 Mtibwa (Simba win 4-3 on penalties)
Giants Simba edged compatriots Mtibwa Sugar to win the 2015 Mapinduzi Cup on Tuesday night at Aman stadium.
The closely contested fixture saw both sides finish goalless after 90 minutes with Simba winning 4-3 on spot kicks.
The game marked the return of Uganda Cranes striker Emmanuel Okwi to the Simba side after missing the previous fixtures while on leave granted by the club to attend to his family.
The win puts Simba as the record winners of the annual competition on three times having won it 2008 and 2011 before while Mtibwa Sugar have now lost the most finals; three.
On top of the trophy, Simba walked away with prize money worth $ 10,000.
The club is home to Ugandans Murushid Jjuuko, Simon Sserunkuma, Joseph Owino, Daniel Sserunkuma and Emmanuel Okwi.
