The Uganda Rugby Cranes provisional squad will be further reduced after a trial players who were summoned will feature in at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds on Saturday.

The side has been undergoing intensive training ahead of 13th and 20th June’s Elgon Cup plus the Confederation of Africa Rugby tier 1B tournament due July 2nd in Kampala, Uganda.

Two teams from the squad from the training camp with new head coach Joe Beukes have been selected and will tussle on ground from which the perfect picture of the new national side will be drawn.

The best 30 players will be chosen based on personal performance, positions and combinations to form a franchise in the upcoming Super Series.

After the Rugby Series, 4 more players will be selected for a final squad of 34 that will be representing Uganda in the Elgon and CAR tournaments.

The team will go into residential training thereafter and that will be in the last week of May. They will face a Uganda- A side that will be also be preparing for a game against Rwanda.
