WBC World Welter and WBA Super World Welterweight champion Floyd “Money” Mayweather, will have a Ugandan trainer and former world champion Cornelius Boza Edwards in his corner when he takes on Manny Pacquiao on May 2 at the MGM Grand, in Las Vegas, Nevada in a fight dubbed “The Fight of the Century”.
Boza Edwards, who is Nevada Boxing Hall of Famer inductee, will be one of the corner men by Mayweather’s side when he takes on the WBO World Welterweight champion Pacquiao in the “Super Fight” in Las Vegas.

The Ugandan was the WBC World super featherweight champion after beating Rafael Limon to claim the belt, but eventually lost his crown to Rolando Navarrete on his second defense. He currently works as a trainer at the Mayweather Boxing gym in Las Vegas, Nevada where he trains other boxers and champions at the same time.
It’s contrasting to see two Ugandan former fighters working in gyms used by Pacquiao and Mayweather. Justin Juuko who sparred with Manny Pacquiao, works in the Wild Card Gym of Freddie Roach, who will be the lead corner man for the Phillippines fighter on May 2nd. On the other hand, Cornelius Boza Edwards works with the flamboyant Mayweather in Las Vegas, Nevada.
