Lightweight super star Sharif “The Lion” Bogere, was ruthless as he knocked out Mexican Joksan Hernandez in the second round of a scheduled 10 round non-title fight in Mexico this morning and improve his record in the ring.

“The knockout was so fast I just can’t remember how I did it,” Bogere said in a message. “I am glad that I started the year well and am looking forward for more wins like this nature.”

It was the first win for the Ugandan in the new year and it will totally improve his ratings all over the world boxing bodies. Bogere improves his record to 27-1,(19 KOs) while Hernandez drops to 24-8,(16 KOs).

This victory could get his promotion company Golden Boy Promotions talking with IBF lightweight champion Mickey Bey, who is promoted by Mayweather Promotions for a title fight later in the year or contest for the vacant WBO lightweight belt.
