Buganda Regional Play Off: Masavu 1 (5) – 1 (4) Luwero United
 
Entebbe’s Masavu – Kigogwa and Lira United from Lira town council are the first sides to be promoted to the 2015/16 FUFA Big league season.

Masavu overcame Luwero United on penalties at the Kiwafu Play Ground on Sunday in an exciting Buganda region play off watched by a very big crowd that included Uganda Cranes head coach, Micho.
 
Masavu beat Luwero united 5-4 on penalties after 1 all draw. Adama Omarion scored the opener in 36th minute before Hassan Katamba equalized for Luwero United 6 minutes later.
 
In the shoot out, Captain Charles Odeke, Adama Omarion, Lawrence Bakiraze Derrick Seruwagi and Mukasa Yusuf scored for Masavu.
 
Joshua Lubwama, Sentogo Zakariah, Chris Kawangulo and Goalie Eria Sentogo were the penalty scorers for Luwero United.
 
Luwero’s Joshua Kigozi had his penalty saved by substitute goal keeper, Yusuf Wasswa, who replaced Ronald Mutebi two minutes to full time.

Winning coach, Hakim Nsibambi, a former player with State House F.C bragged:
“My task is done, I was recruited to promote the team to the Big league, and here it is” the gifted former left footed player remarked as fans, who were led by a live band sang victorious songs.
 
Lira United was also confirmed on Sunday as the Norther region representatives to the big league, Uganda’s second highest tier league.
 
Three teams will be demoted from the Uganda Premier league to join the FUFA Big league and another three (two of which are confirmed – The Saints and Maroons) will join the elite league.
 
Several other regions in Uganda are completing their promotional games.
