Uganda had on Sunday and Monday suffered humiliations when Great Britain and South Korea subjected the former to 5-0 defeats. Nakalyango in the mixed doubles with Ebayo lost to Campbell Martin and Williams Victoria 2-0 (21-3, 21-12).
Then Pedersen Angus Beat Daniel Mihingo in straight sets (21-5, 21-16), Bangi wasn’t spared either as Scott Kerri Beat her, also in straight sets 2-0 (21-12, 21-18).
Ebayo paired with Musisi in the men’s doubles and lost to Campbell and Machugh Patrick (21-7, 21-5). Pringle Caitlin and Findlay Rebekka completed the humiliation with a 21-8, 21-9 victory over Bangi and Nakalyango.
On Monday, South Korea also proved to be too much for Uganda, Ko Sunghyun and Lee Sohee Beat Nakalyango and Ebayo 21-8, 21-4.
Musisi was also taken through his paces by Jeon Hyeokjin 21-4, 21-14, before Kim Hyomin stretched the Asians’ lead; she beat Bangi 21-4, 21-12
The men’s double of Kim Gijung and Kim Sarang kept Ebayo and Musisi at bay with scores of 21-4, 21-8, Go Ah Ra and Yoo Hae completed the match with a 21-4, 21-4 win over Nakalyango and Bangi.
