In life, dreams and realities are two different entities that humanity has always set eyes on to.
Whereas many dream to achieve the targeted set goals cum missions, several realities at hand dictate otherwise.
As a growing enthralled young man, music icon Eddie Kenzo, born Edrisa Musuuza had a vision of lifting the Ballon D’or – a coveted prize for the best footballer in Europe at the end of a footballing calendar year.
The abyss between Kenzo’s dream and the then existing reality remained immeasurably far-flung.

The now globally renowned music ace lived on the streets aged 4 (after the death of his mother) and his bone marrow might have felt the chilly cold weather night after night for 13 solid years.
Years down the road, Kenzo abandoned the football path for music and the rest as they say is now history.
Kenzo, who recently won the BET Music award attested;
I loved to play football since I was a young child and in fact, I play at Villa Park when I get free time

Music was then the safe sanctuary for Kenzo rising through the ranks from lyrics as Yanimba, Stamina, Musonyiwe, Ogenda Nkunzisa and many others to the award winning Sitya Loss.
Villa Park (SC Villa’s home ground at Nsambya) was my best place every evening as I sweated out with friends playing football
Luckily, music was his true unquestionable calling as he passionately continued to play football on a ‘laizer- faire’ affair.
Through Music, Kenzo got the short cut to international stardom having traveled widely and performed at high profile events worldwide, winning several accolades and applause alike.
Kenzo’s latest award – BET new international artist 2015 courtesy of the buzzing Sitya Loss hit has definitely elevated the former footballer to another level.
To win the award, Kenzo beat Cassper Nyovest (South Africa), Mzvee (Ghana), George The Poet (London), Mic Lowry (Liverpool) and the Novelist from London.
As of now, Kenzo remains an addict to football although he earns his bread and butter through the vocal chords.
One of his childhood role models on the football front, Ronaldihno was the first to share the viral ‘Sitya loss’ video.
Other international stars Ellen Degeneres, Puff Daddy, Akon, Tevin Cambell, Sanaa Lathan and millions of viewers followed suit.

The down to earth persona of the new star was recently best exemplified at his historic home coming when he opted to visit his old childhood friends at Katwe, a Kampala slum, one of the places Kenzo grew up from playing football in the famous Katwe valley ‘Mukikko’.
For all the steadfast ascendency to fame, the sky surely remains the only limit for the star.
Congs Eddie Kenzo.
