Sharif “The Lion” Bogere, was too good for Mexican fighter Daniel “Canerito” Ruiz, as the fight ended in a controversial no contest after the Ugandan fighter landed a solid punch on his opponent’s head for the fight to be stopped for 30 minutes in the second round for the judges to make their judgement.
The fight was held in the Mexican town Playa del Carmen, Quitana, Roo, Mexico. Sharif Bogere was disappointed not to get a knock out.
It was a punch and I don’t know why they have to give a verdict of no contest. The referee and the judges should have just given a technical knockout or a knock out.
Bogere was seeking his second win in 2015 and would have boosted his chances of a world title shot later in the year his record remains 27-1(19 KOs). His record is 4 wins out of his last six fights.
